Because, Apparently, You Oughta Know
February 17, 2005
Last week, as many cooler-than-thou hipsters fled the country for the cozy liberalism of our neighbor to the north, Dave Coulier’s ex and former child star of Nickelodeon’s long defunct You Can’t Do That on Television, Alanis Morissette, became a U.S. citizen.
Alanis offered these words of wisdom regarding her new status:
“I will never renounce my Canadian citizenship,” Morissette said in a statement Wednesday. “I consider myself a Canadian-American.”
We’re not sure the ACLU recognizes the rights of so-called “Canadian-Americans.” Any illegal activity on the part of Ms. Morissette may result in her immediate deportation.
